Terms of use
Last updated 26 September 2026
These terms are between Walkaround (“Walkaround”, “we”) and the business that signs up (“you”). By creating an account you agree to them on behalf of your business. Walkaround is for businesses, so the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 does not apply, to the extent the law allows.
What Walkaround does
Your staff photograph a client’s house, mark the windows and doors, and Walkaround makes artist’s impressions of the house with your products, plus a private client page and PDF under your business’s name.
Pictures are artist’s impressions
Pictures and videos are made by AI. They show roughly how products could look. They are not measured drawings, and colours, sizes, glass and hardware may differ from the finished job. Every client page and PDF says this. You’re responsible for checking a picture before you send it, and for your quote, measurements and what you agree with your client.
Your responsibilities
- Only photograph a property with the owner’s or occupier’s permission, and tell them you’ll use Walkaround to show them the products.
- Enter accurate client details and use them only for that client’s job.
- Only upload product information, logos and photos you’re allowed to use.
- Keep your logins private, and remove staff who leave.
- Don’t use Walkaround to mislead anyone, or try to get into another business’s account.
Plans, houses and payment
- Plans include a number of houses a month. A house is one job at one address, and it’s counted the first time a picture of that job is made. Prices are on the pricing page, in NZ$ plus GST.
- Your first 5 houses are free. Your plan is charged when you start house 6, then monthly (or yearly) in advance by card.
- Unused plan houses don’t carry over to the next month. House packs don’t expire while your account is open.
- If a payment fails you have 14 days to update your card. After that, new pictures stop until it’s paid. Client pages you’ve already sent stay live.
- You can cancel at any time. Your plan runs to the end of the period you’ve paid for, and there are no refunds for part periods or unused houses, except where the law requires.
- We’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice by email before changing your price.
Your content
You own your photos, client details, product information and the pictures made for your jobs. You let us store and process them to run Walkaround for you. We handle personal information as set out in our privacy policy. With your written permission only, we may show your pictures as examples on our website.
The service
We work to keep Walkaround running and your information safe, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. It relies on providers such as Google, Anthropic, Supabase, Vercel and Stripe. We may improve or change features over time.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect losses, such as lost sales or profits. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.
Ending your account
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or isn’t paid, and we’ll tell you first where we reasonably can. After an account closes, we delete its information as described in the privacy policy.
General
These terms are governed by New Zealand law. If we change them, we’ll tell you by email at least 30 days before the changes apply. Questions: hello@walkaround.co.nz.
